10 Houses, 10 Stories: Residents of the East Side of Rynok Square

I am a city history enthusiast and the creator of the YouTube channel “Stories Under the Microscope”. I study archival documents, old newspapers and historians’ research, and tell stories of the past in an engaging way.
Join my author-led tour, “10 Houses, 10 Stories: Residents of the East Side of Rynok Square”.
A murder at a wedding, a “black widow”, an escapee from a psychiatric hospital, and a private army besieging Lviv over debts. Sound like a TV series? These are stories of people who lived on Rynok Square. I will also tell you about the collapse of the old Town Hall tower, the Prosvita society, the Ukrainian Secret University and much more.
During the tour, we will visit the Black House lapidarium to see remains of the old Town Hall, the pillory and other relics of Lviv buildings that no longer exist. I will also show historic photographs of the houses.
No tourist legends. Only documents!
After the tour, everyone is welcome to join me for coffee in the Italian Courtyard to discuss the walk and share impressions.
