My name is Danylo Pohrebnyak, and I am an enthusiast of the history of Lviv and Galicia. For me, history is human destinies, the secrets of old tenement houses, the unexpected turns in the lives of their residents, and the genuine, living context of past epochs.
By training, I am a lawyer. This gives me the professional skill to work with archives, documents, past criminal cases, and court chronicles without fiction or myths, relying exclusively on facts that are sometimes more fascinating than any detective story.
To share my findings with people, I host the podcast "Stories Under the Microscope", where I examine little-known historical events, archival cases, and the riddles of Galicia. All episodes can be found on this website.
My tours are an immersion into the atmosphere of the past. I do not tell fairy tales: everything I share with my guests is backed by sources and documents.
I conduct tours in Ukrainian, English, and Polish. Private formats are available.
