In the church, she shot the nun she loved three times
Zhovkva, 1929. Olga Redkivna, a nineteen-year-old teacher's seminary student, falls in love with a young Felician nun, Sister Prudentia. The story eventually leads to three shots fired in a crowded church and one of the strangest criminal cases of interwar Galicia.
In the issue, I reproduce the events based on the materials of the press of the time, talk about the lives of both girls, the environment of the Felician sisters, the attitude of psychiatry in the 1920s to female homosexuality, and the legal features of this case.
