Palm Sunday 1924. Roza Lempertova, a wealthy but disliked shopkeeper, was brutally murdered in her own shop. A single woman lived in a poor neighborhood, did not lend money, had a reputation for being stingy and cold. The police consider different versions: robbery, revenge, personal accounts... But the truth behind this crime will turn out to be completely unexpected.
